Botanicals Wild Rose Hand Balm – Review

I have a lot of hand creams but I never never tried a hand balm before. I use cleansing balms, skincare balms but never on my hands so this was very interesting to try.
Botanicals is a completely new brand for me and it has a great ethos as a company, vegan, cruelty free and of course, natural.
The range of products I really like, different balms, hand, face, feet. Natural bath products, skincare, you name it, it’s more than likely there.
As a skincare brand, they have fabulous scents in the products.
Anyway, enough deliberating, let’s get on with the review.

Botanicals Wild Rose Hand Balm
Presented in a beautiful brown glass jar, with a black lid, a gorgeous blue/green label and Botanicals in silver adorning the lid.
Once opened, the scent just jumps out at me, wholly natural rose. That is all I can smell. It is like a shoved my face into a vase of fresh cut roses, beautiful.
A very pale cream coloured product that looks solid, sitting there in the jar.
I just swipe a finger across the top and instantly have a very silky coating of the product. Enough to do a part of my hand.
As I massage this product into my skin, it turns from a thick balm into a slightly oily substance and coats my hands so well. A little of this goes a very long way.
It takes about 5 minutes for the product to absorb into my skin and leaves my hands so soft and nourished, there is no greasy residue left on my skin.
There is a protective layer left on my skin but doesn’t feel like anything really. I know it is there, but my hand isn’t greasy or laden with product. Feels really silky.
I have very dry hands, sometimes they crack around the knuckles and I seem to have a lot of trouble with eczema also.
I found this balm instantly eased tightness on my hands and made them feel very comfortable.
After 2 days the redness had gone from my hands and the cracks were healing well, dryness was nearly gone.
I am left with soft, smooth and plumped hands.
They look less papery and finally, my hands are looking right for my age. The aged look has gone.
I often nick my fingers too and this balm helped reduce swelling and redness, making sure the cuts have healed.

Final Thoughts
Balms are a must in my life but I wish I had considered a hand balm sooner.
I can not believe how good this hand balm truly is, working a lot quicker than a moisturiser.
With a protective layer left on hands, it protects from the elements and I can pop a moisturiser over the top, however this is not needed.
Botanicals have struck gold here with this hand balm, it is a must for everyone.
The range of scents is great, but honestly this wild rose one, is the best!
I can’t believe how well this performed on cuts and redness too, giving my hands a plumped effect too.
Affordable, this balm will last ages as you need the smallest amount. It’s fab!
What do you think about using a hand balm? Have you used one before?
